AWS CLI Setup on Windows

🔎 Step 1: Download AWS CLI v2

1. Google "aws cli install windows"

2. Click the official AWS link

3. Grab AWS CLI Version 2 for Windows

Why v2? It's the current version — faster, with a better installer, and the same underlying APIs as v1.

📦 Step 2: Install via MSI

Under "Install on Windows," download the MSI installer, then run it:

Next → accept the license → Next → Install → allow changes if prompted → Finish.

That's it — nothing tricky here.

✅ Step 3: Verify It Worked

1. Open Command Prompt

2. Run:

aws --version

You should see something like:

aws-cli/2.x.x Python/3.x Windows/...

As long as it starts with 2, you're set.

🔄 Upgrading Later

Just download the latest MSI installer and run it again — it upgrades your existing install automatically. No extra steps.
