Installing Python & Setting Up VS Code / Jupyter

Step 1: Installing Python

  1. Go to the official Python website

  2. Download the latest version.

  3. Run the installer and check the box: "Add Python to PATH"

  4. Complete the installation.

✅ To check if Python is installed:

Run the following code in terminal:

python --version

Step 2: Installing VS Code

  1. Download from Visual Studio Code

  2. Install and open the app.

  3. Install the Python extension by Microsoft from the Extensions tab.

  4. Install the Code Runner extension from Extension Tab

  5. Open a folder in VS Code if required create one

  6. Create test.py file
